Icons are used within any software product to graphically represent any given functionality or action. Due to their small size, lot of experience is needed to design an icon that can convey the right meaning using just an image.

Intotality has experience in designing following types of icons for software packages, websites, operating systems, brochures and events :

Application Icons - These types of icon are used within in the software of some specific computer application. They are a built-in part of the software.

Avatars - A typical Avatar, is generally larger than most other icon types usually 50 x 50 icon or even larger upto 96 x 96 pixels. They are used to convey identity of a user in a forum or message board and are usually .gif or .jpg format.

Desktop Icons - The most commonly recognized icons are used to convey purpose of an available function on a computer. For example, “My Computer”, “Recycle Bin”, and various file folders.

Emoticons - These types of Icons are used to convey emotions or voice inflection in text conversation. In this case we refer actual icon images rather than original ASCII characters like the following example:

Frown : (

Messenger Icons - These are specifically for messengers and chat programs.

Misfits - These are non-standard icon types and cause a lot of confusion since they do not fit into any one category.

Website Icons - Website icons are very similar to any software application. These are in JPG and Gif formats. These can be of any size in any website.
